Body warming

We have two types of bedrock bathing: Laava and Meressä. The former is based on a volcanic theme and the bedrock of the Izu Peninsular. The latter evokes a sea bed atmosphere and lets you enjoy the motions of the sea. We also have other places where you can warm up your body in different ways, such as the Pulista room where you can engage in lively conversation in an open space resembling oceanside grasslands, and the Torkkua room, which is based on the idea of dozing under the moonlight.

The name of this bedrock bath in Finnish means "in the ocean", hence the blue undertones to help relieve stress as you absorb the feeling of being on the bottom of the sea and swaying with the swell. Only in Atami can you enjoy this bedrock bath while watching fish swim in aquarium tanks.

Pulista

In the Finnish language, pulista means "chatter". The theme of this open space is oceanside grasslands, the perfect place to engage in conversation while relaxing on the heated turf.

Torkkua

Torkkua means "snooze" in Finnish. Here you can take a quiet nap in subdued darkness and warmth. Enjoy some relaxing time to doze off under the moonlight.
